For Sonja, life has always been split between two passions: gaming and cars. Born in Canada and now living in Los Angeles, she’s built a career as a streamer, host, and creator who thrives in both worlds.

Her path into streaming started in game development classrooms, long before Twitch became what it is today. She remembers stacking her webcam on sticky notes, streaming from a laptop so hot it burned her wrists. “I was so nervous, but also so stoked that people wanted to hang out and build a community,” she says. That mix of excitement and connection still fuels her streams today.

Cars entered her life even earlier. Her dad introduced her to classics like Corvettes and a ’71 E-Type, then put her in a go-kart. By the time she could drive, she had her own Cavalier with underglow and an Autobot sticker, tearing down farm roads outside her hometown. These days, her pride and joy is a 2017 Nissan GT-R — a car she fell for after what began as a joke tweet turned into a press loan. Nothing else felt the same after that.

Gaming and driving might seem like opposites, but Sonja sees the link clearly. Both are about connection. “Whether you’re on a Minecraft server or at a car meet, both are better with friends,” she explains. Streaming gives her a space to share and connect; driving gives her freedom, music, and clear roads.

“The two seats in my life are my streaming chair and my driver’s seat,” Sonja says. “They’re both so important, but in different ways. One is about connecting, the other is about freedom.”

That sense of balance is something she brings into her space, too. Streaming is where she connects with her community, and her setup reflects the focus she needs to do it.
